The Obstetrics Department provides services to obstetrical patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the provision of care during pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum and neonatal periods. Rooming in is offered and a breastfeeding assistants are  available for your convenience .
 

Our  unit is equipped with:

1. An isolated labor and delivery suite with beds especially designed for delivery ,which offers you complete privacy.

2. A surgical suite for Caesarian sections and other procedures that are performed in a sterile environment;

3. Forty  large patient rooms with private baths and showers. Family is welcome to be with the new mother and baby as much as everyone desires;

4. A pediatrician  is available at all times to provide care to the newborn that needs help adjusting to life outside the womb

5. A gynecological exam room available for physicians to do procedures requiring specialized equipment and care.

6. Modern patient monitoring devices especially continuous bedside fetal monitoring so that your newborn is absolutely healthy. Besides ,we have a highly experienced team of critical care specialists who are available round the clock in case an emergency arises.

7. Epidural anesthesia ( Painless labour) is available at all times and provided by experienced anesthetists..

8. Portable ultrasound examinations are always available, if indicated.

9. The nursery is equipped to handle care of newborns requiring special needs such as jaundice and intravenous therapy for infections, dehydration, unstable blood sugars and feeding problems. Stabilization of patients with complications and transfer to high level care facilities can be quickly arranged when needed

10. Inhouse dieticians take care of your diet as you have special needs during pregnancy and postpartum

11. And above all,our passionate, experienced nursing staff provide teaching and support for both mom and baby, working to make you comfortable taking the newest member of your family home
